Loosely based on and inspired by geometries found in nature (nautilus, leaves and trees, weather systems) and the secular notion of the five elements of air, sky, water, earth and fire (with similar antecedents found in various Asian cultures), the development is roughly demarcated in five main “districts” emanating from a central “core.” Each district is articulated with patterns, colors and textures of the five elements.

A singular looped boulevard gives access to various districts of phased developments in a radial configuration.

The residential clusters are defined in a loose radial pattern emanating from the crux of the site. This defines a Town Center and incorporates a two-level retail center and a community club as the heart of the entire township.

Simple interlocking architectural massing, juxtaposed sun shades, surface textures and theme colors representative of each “element.” Interspersed within each residential district is parking for cars and two wheelers, creating small clusters, rather than large expanses, of parking lots. These small lots contain impermeable surfaces and “grass-crete” paving, adding to the perception of green settings. Other attributes of sustainable developments integrated into the design range from rain water harvesting, sun shades and restrictive parking ratios to integrated retail and recreational amenities.

With its key highway visibility and striking façade, Retail Plaza is strategically sited along NH-3. A school is also located within this area, and is connected to the retail area by a playing field, a large tract of open space. A health care facility and community center compose the remaining components of the township. Each district will contain beautiful landscaping, using native tropical species of trees and plants, infusing the development and its hilly environs with a blanket of green.
